Our Sri Kutch Kadwa Patidar community has a tradition of respecting elders and revering daughters, known as Niani. This is why we consider God to play the same role in our family. Our forefathers have bequeathed us with the heritage of Sanskar and have worked hard for our progress. They have kept the family united and have always prioritized its development. Even today, we celebrate their Tithis passionately in every family. Our elders have made sacrifices to protect their children, both sons and daughters, as well as cows. Their Sthanakas, or their designated places, are still revered as grandfatherly figures. Until the Kesh Mundan ceremony of the nine newcomers in the family is performed, we continue to carry out the tradition of doing it ourselves or braiding their hair ourselves.
The sages and forefathers of our fifty-two gotras have their abodes in various villages of Kutch, our motherland. The sacred festival of Ashadi Bija is dedicated to our elders by the Sarvejas of the community. On that day, we visit Kutch to pay homage to our elders, or we plant coconuts and make Sukhdi in their name at our homes, and we give unique gifts to our daughter or daughter-in-law. This way of giving gifts is unique to our community.
The communities of Gotriya Parivar consider it their sacred duty to preserve the cultural-spiritual heritage bestowed upon them by the sages. Families are slowly taking on an institutional form, similar to a village or society. Periodic gatherings are held to transmit the sages’ contributions to the new generation, glorify charitable contributions to the Niyanis, and showcase various cultural programs. These gatherings also provide various activities for the youth, which is a good sign for the organization of the society.
Previously, family programs were held with Sanatani and Satpanthi, despite the latter’s different ideology. However, they are attempting to infiltrate Sanat’s organization through the back door to conceal their heathen identity. Takiya was deceiving all Santhanis with weapons under the guise of family and Niani.
After the white paper was issued by Kendriya Samaj in 2010, Sri Akhil Bharatiya Kutch Kadwa Patidar Samaj (Central Samaj) was established by Sanatani. Every village area and zone’s societies took on the form of Purna Sanatan in response. Umiya Mataji Sanstha, the arbitrator of Unjha, also issued a verdict urging friends from village to village to join the great stream of Sanatan.
To endorse this Sanatan approach, the first Sri Akhil Bharatiya Kutch Kadwa Patidar Chabhaiya Parivar Sanatani was established. Many families, including Nakrani, Rudani, Halpani, and Ramani, have since declared themselves Sanatani. All other families are also seriously considering this approach and have decided to prioritize Sanat’s approach.
Our respected Prime Minister, Narendrabhai Modi, is working to revive temples with the teachings of various sages. His goal is to instill bravery and wisdom in the younger generation through spiritual knowledge, while preserving India’s culture for the world. People from all over the world have come to India to learn about the methods, research, traditions and knowledge our sages have given to humanity.
To further promote this tradition, the Central Samaj has decided to build a Rishi Mandir, along with a Sanatni Shatabdi Mohotsav and Pehela Purna Sanatni Adhivasan. This cultural temple will feature the teachings of 52 tribal sages and will be a valuable source of knowledge for young people.
The Central Samaj recently held a meeting at their office in Nakhtrana, urging all families to join in building a Sanatan family. We hope that all the Satpanthis will join in this campaign and become the bearers of a new Sanat revolution. Together, we can all become one and noble.
