66. Kutch Yuva Sangh - A Roar of Sanatan

Shri Pravin Narayan Dholu
– Nagalpar

Sri Akhil Bharatiya Kutch Kadwa Patidar Samaj’s headquarters is located in Nakhtrana Kutch. The role of local youth is crucial in any social activity. After years of fighting between Satpanth and Sanatan, the Piranapanths falsely claimed victory. When the police arrived at Nakhtrana boarding to arrest Rameshbhai Wagdia, the young people of Kutch quickly gathered a large convoy to investigate. Despite it being the festival of Holi, the Kutch Yuva Sangh friends stayed at the Devashish Hospital all night when Rameshbhai was taken there instead of Ahmedabad. Rameshbhai was instructed to attend the meeting of Kendriya Yuva Sangh held in Hosur and present the report of the incident that occurred in Nakhtrana, and to remove Satpanth from society forever.

Although I and other office bearers had to go to Haridwar at that time, Amo, along with Damji Vasani, the president of Kutch Yuvasangh at that time, directly reached Hosur to attend the meeting. Rameshbhai Vagadia provided complete information about the arrest incident in Nakhtrana in that meeting. A large number of Satpanti youths were present in this meeting. He was also the chief office bearer of this region and the sponsor of this meeting. Although there were different sects, these matters were discussed openly. Amidst the tense atmosphere, the then-president of Kendriya Yuva Sangh, Jayantibhai Ladakwala, Minister Gaurangbhai Dhanani, and the team decided that the Yuva Sangh would intervene in the religious question of the society. Before this meeting, the Yuva Sangh could not even utter the “S” of Satpanth. Our submissions were supported by the youth across India, and at the end of the debate, Kendriya Yuva Sangh issued the “Kesario Patra” to remove Satpanthi youth from the executive and criticize the society. (This Keshari letter is published on page 74 of the book Satpanth Chodho).

At Nakhtrana boarding, youth from across Kutch awaited the decision of Yuva Sangh. Even the elders were apprehensive and didn’t want to confront the issue. Their only wish was for the Satpanthis to stay united and celebrate the golden jubilee. But the youth decided to celebrate Jayanti Mohotsav with color, without allowing a single Satpanthi to participate.

The first meeting after Rameshbhai’s arrest was planned at the boarding house but the community elders didn’t allow it. So, it was held in Virani village with a large number of participants. The Satpanthis presented their cases before the Swarnim Mohotsav and the discussion of not allowing them to participate in the festival gained momentum.

Another meeting was held at the boarding house without the consent of the society. Meanwhile, construction of Sanskar Dham was underway for the interests of the Sanatanis and the propagation of Lord Lakshminarayana. This movement held meetings at Sanskardham and promoted it to inspire more people to join.

A letter was sent to the society by the executive committee of the Kutch region. The letter stated that if Satpanthwala was included in the golden jubilee festival, the friends of the Kutch region would not cooperate in any kind of work. The letter was signed by Ramjibhai, the President of the Kendriya Samaj, and myself as the Vice-President. There were some heated arguments surrounding this issue.

The protest against this decision was joined by the entire Kutch region. The Kranti Dal’s former friends also participated in this work. Many maharathis, including Shantilal Senghani, Jayantbhai (Kotda), Ratilal Khetani, Dahyabhai Senghani, and Amrit Dholu, supported and guided us, along with Devarambhai Rudani. Finally, the central society decided to hold an extraordinary meeting. People from all over India attended, representing different communities. The Kutch Yuva Sangh also put in much effort and gathered Santanis from all over. At that time, we had to play the role of Sanat soldiers around the boarding to ensure that no Satpanthi would raise such knowledge in this meeting.

On Sanatan’s Victory Day, the Kendriya Samaj released a “white letter” stating that this society belongs to the Sanatans. It taught Honkar and spread the spirit and enthusiasm among all the Sanatans.

Today, the hard work of the youth of Kutch in making the Golden Jubilee Festival and the Fifth Congress of the Society a success is evident. Greetings to all.
