Prior to Vikram Samvat 1972 (1916 AD), the sun of proselytization was shining due to superstition towards Pirana Satpanth among people. During that time, a religious guru from Pirana came to our village that year. During that time, he ate non-vegetarian food at the house of his followers of other caste in the village and he openly praised that food. Therefore, our elders (1) Mukhi Gopal Ratna (2) Patel Raja Karsan (3) Divani Mulji Keshra and leading brothers of the village expressed displeasure. As it was against the established principles of our caste, a ban should be imposed on such religious gurus from entering the village to free our brothers from their clutches. So that our innocent ignorant brothers get free from their misleading guidance.

During the festival days of Janmashtami of Shravan month of Vikram Samvat 1972 (Aug 1916), Kakashri Ramji arrived at Versalpur village on the day of Randhan Chhath to do Lihani (collection of dues). After the work of Lihani was over, due to a dispute regarding purchase of Majus (a large wooden chest) for society’s use, Ramji Kakashri left the village. After that, when Majima (female religious leader) was to come to Versalpur village from Bhadli village, the elders of the village boycotted her and did not give her accommodation.

In Vikram Samvat 1979, Kakashri Ramji became the Gadipati (Head) of Pirana and arrived in Kutch. Due to the coercion of the society, the leaders of our village invited him, during that time taxes of society like (1) Dashond – four Kori per earning person in the family. (2) Sarbandhi – used to collect one and a quarter Kori per stove (household). Due to a dispute regarding accounts, Kakashri left the village early in the morning without informing anyone.

After that, our village did not pay any funds to Satpanth Samaj. Also, religious gurus and Kakashris did not arrive. In that way, village Shri Versalpur became free from the influence of Satpanth very early.

As years passed, due to awakening in young brothers living abroad from city atmosphere, satisfying the minds of elders living in the country, on Ashadh Sud-2 Bij of Vikram Samvat 1994 i.e. 29-Jun-1938, established Sanatan Samaj by removing the Pat (religious seat) of Satpanth. Established Pan Murti (image on leaf) of Shri Laxminarayan Bhagwan. Instead of flag, Dhajagaro was raised with Pawan Pavadi.

In Vikram Samvat 1995, established a village school for children in the village. Started giving education to children. Administration was done by village, about three years passed in planning to make temple Shikharbandh (with spire).  On the day of Akhatrij of Vikram Samvat 1997, laid foundation of Nij Mandir (main temple) and planned it. Nij Mandir was made Shikharbandh from white stone.  Every small and big brother living in the village worked shoulder to shoulder and completed the work.

On the auspicious day of Shravan Sud-13 of Vikram Samvat 1998 i.e. 24-Aug-1942, consecration of Panmurti in the temple was done by the blessed hands of Maharajshri Odhavramji Guru Laldasji of Deshalpar Vandhay. As the temple completed fifty years, discussions were held to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the temple. In which brothers living in the country as well as abroad unanimously decided that a temple should be built according to the new map at the place of the old temple and marble idols should be installed, such planning was done.

The Utthapan Vidhi (removal ceremony) of the old temple and foundation laying of the new temple was done on Thursday, 22-8-91 of Shravan Sud-12 of V. Samvat 2047 by the hands of Maharajshri Valdasji Gurushri Odhavramji living in Haridwar.

Brothers living in Mumbai (1) Divani Narsinh Kanji (2) Limbani Hirji Karamshi (3) Divani Khimji Jetha. Who worked by sacrificing body, mind, wealth and time. Seeing their work, every brother of the village should appreciate their work.

Pranpratishtha (consecration of idols) of Shri Laxminarayan Bhagwan’s idols was done on Tuesday, 11-Aug-1992 of Vikram Samvat 2048 Shravan Sud-13 by the hands of Brahmakandi Jyotishi Acharyashri Revashankar Ratilal Raval of Moti Virani.
