– Thana

The Sabar region of Shree Akhil Bharatiya Kutch Kadwa Patidar Yuva Sangh is the second most populous area after Kutch in our society. It encompasses the complete Sabarkantha and Aravalli districts, along with mainly agricultural regions in Banaskantha, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Kheda, and Mahisagar districts. The Sabar region spans across seven districts, from Kapdwanj to Amirgarh and from Vijayanagar to Gandhinagar, encompassing 350 villages and farms as well as 8 divisional societies. The Sanatan‘s organization is a shining example of excellence for the region, serving as a testament to the unwavering dedication of both the young and old towards Sanatan Dharma. It is a remarkable achievement for the community, demonstrating their strong commitment to their faith.

The President of our Kendriya Samaj, Mr. Gangarambhai Sankhla, along with his team in Nakhtrana, have decided to celebrate the 130th birth anniversary of Shri Narayan Ramji Limbani in a grand manner. They have been tasked with organizing an innovative program for the occasion.

In addition to the Botany professor at Dr. Vasant Dholu College, faculties from  Trinity School in Talod also joined hands. The school has introduced a unique approach to teaching history through videos and audio, which has captured the students’ interest. It gave rise to a new idea of presenting small incidents from the history of Sanatan society in the form of a drama, while other aspects could be presented through films. Moreover, a narrator could sit on the podium and present the story of Sanatan with music in one session. This approach would allow both the youth and elders to enjoy and become aware of their history unconsciously. The experiment was approved, and it was decided to perform “Shri Narayan Katha” in a song-music, video-audio, and story format.

Prof. Ashish Thakar, a resident of Visnagar, has written a theatrical script that is based on 7 to 8 songs by Sanatan. The play features the characters of the youth from Rushat Kampa’s family, portrayed by Ronak, Jigar, Madhusudan, Bhargava, Jaideep, and Sanjay Ravani from Rozd. Mahendrabhai Dholu from Takhatgarh serves as the violinist. The story was first presented by Shri Narayana experimentally in Rushatkampa.

On May 25th, 2013, a large gathering of people from the community assembled in Patangan, Bordig to witness “Shri Narayan Katha” in Nakhtrana, presented by Shrisamaj. The life events of Narayan Bapa were dramatized and recounted, evoking strong emotions from the audience, including passion and tears. The constant clapping and enthusiastic response from the audience boosted the morale of the team. After two hours, the first rendition of “Sri Narayan Katha” was completed, marking the beginning of a new Sanatan experiment in the form of a story. The performance also depicted Dr. Vasant Dholu college Yuva Sangh in a new light, highlighting their important role as narrators.

More than 4000 people attended the meeting which included the society president Gangarambhai Sankhla, former president Ramjibhai Nakrani, Yuva Sangh former president Jayantibhai Ramani, Himatbhai Khetani, Abjibhai Kanani, Dr. Shantilal Senghani, Yuva Sangh-Mahilasangh workers, and other social activists. The drama-song-video-story was well-received by all social classes and helped to preserve the history of Sanatan.

In the story, P. Narveer Poo meets Narayan Ramji Limbani, Keshara Parameshwara, Santshri Poo, Lalram Maharaj, Sant Shri P.O. Odhavaram Maharaj, Hon. Ratanshi Khetani, and Pt. Invitations pour in from all over India for the presentation of “Shri Narayan Katha” as “Sanatan Gatha” by interweaving the works of Sanatan done by Narayan Ramji. The second Katha was held at Kalidas Natya Griha in Mumbai’s Mulund, and the third was held in Ankleshwar.

Piranapanthi could not accept the “Sanatan Gatha” planning at Himatnagar (Nalinkanth Gandhi Hall) and petitioned the Collector to stop it. That night, the police chief asked Dr. Vasant Dholu to quickly explain the situation regarding protests against the planned “Sanatan Gatha” event in Himatnagar’s Nalinkanth Gandhi Hall. Piranapanthi, a member of the Sanatan community, had petitioned the Collector to stop the event.

Dr. Dholu explained that the Sanatan Gatha aimed to educate people about the struggles of the Sanatan community in India, similar to the teachings of famous freedom fighters like Sardar Patel, Gandhiji, and Subhash Chandra. He assured the police that the event would be peaceful and urged them to have an officer present.

He also explained that Piranapanthi had presented false information about the event and urged the police to take appropriate action if necessary.

During the event, attended by 1200 members of the Sanatan community, the police publicly acknowledged that they were not aware of the struggles of the Sanatan community and that the claims made by Piranapanthi were untrue. The police assured those in attendance that they would not face any disturbances related to the event.

The “Sanatani Narayan Katha” story infused new energy among the youth and community members of society, gaining a lot of support for the Sanatan movement. Through this story, Sanatan‘s strength succeeded in the hearts of many people who had a loose attitude. By presenting a vivid picture of the dedication of the elders of that time, even large numbers of people in current social schemes could be easily integrated. Thus, “Sri Narayan Katha” proved to be the spearhead for Sri Samaj in the Sanatan movement.

The Dr. Vasant Dholu Yuva Sangh, the Chairman of Sabar Region, the then General Secretary, Vice President and President of Kendriya Yuva Sangh continued this work with the slogan “Jai Sanatan… Hai Tanatan… De Dhanadhan…” “Shri Narayan Katha” or “Sanatan Gatha” was presented in total 18 places namely Ankleshwar, Himatnagar, Khirsara (Roha-Kutch), Delhi, Netra, Aurangabad, Dayapar, Naroda-Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Surat, Virani Moti, Pondicherry. Karana Dr. Vasant Dholu and Yuva Sangh team Sabar got the good fortune of Sanatan.
