Playing an important role as the lighthouse

(Compilation: Dr. Vasant Dholu)

Throughout history, young people have played a crucial role in revolutions. From a social standpoint, they serve as protectors of the community. By understanding their abilities and providing them with the right opportunities at the right time, we can empower them to bring about positive change in society. When some members of our society became entrenched in superstitious religious beliefs and were forced to leave the Potika region of Gujarat for the dry wasteland of Kutch, and the oppressive identity of the Mumna Patidar caused them to discriminate against other communities, it was the youth who planted the seeds of revolution.

After the formal establishment of the society at a national level, there was a growing desire among the youth to form a national-level youth organization. In response, the young members of Navashetan Yuvaka Mandal in Calcutta took the initiative and founded the “Sri Akhil Bhartiya Kutch Kadwa Patidar Yuvaka Sangh” on December 24-26, 1972, with the participation of youth from various provinces across India.

The youth passed five objectives/resolutions in this meeting. The fifth objective was passed unanimously.

To eradicate the superstitions in society, the youth association should promote Sanatan Dharma and participate in religious meetings and conventions. This will help the youth in the society to develop a religious spirit.

On May 23rd, 1977, in the premises of Patidar Vidyarthi Bhawan-Nakhtrana, thousands of young men and women from all over the country were present for the first session of the Yuvaka Sangh. Under the presidency of youth worker Mr. Khimji Lakhamshi Limbani, the constitution of the Yuvaka Sangh was unanimously passed and Sri Akhil Bharatiya Kutch Kadwa Patidar Yuvaka Sangh was duly constituted as a constitutional body. This historic event marked the beginning of a new era for the organization.

The Yuva Sangh played a crucial role in supporting the central society by bringing together all the Yuva Mandals from across India. In 1977, the youth union played a fundamental role in the success of the community convention and the implementation of the 18th article of the constitution, which called for cremation instead of burial. The youth union has always been there to help wherever the society needed them.

Yuva Sangh organizes youth sports festivals in various cities including Pune, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Surat, Himmatnagar, and Chennai.

After traveling extensively across India, he successfully accomplished the challenging task of zone formation and significantly boosted the pace of work of the youth union. It’s worth mentioning the pivotal role played by Premji Keshrani in his portrayal of Hanuman. As a result, the creation of zones has provided tremendous momentum to social work across India.

In order to address issues related to kinship, programs such as “Jeevansaathi Parichay Mela (Matchmaking events)” were initiated. Furthermore, during the earthquake that occurred on January 26, 2001 in Kutch, the members of Yuva Sangh, including office-bearers, workers, and central office bearers from every zone, tirelessly served in Kutch with their bodies, minds, and finances, leaving an unforgettable impact.

The Yuvasangh organization has made significant contributions in the field of education. They purchased a building for a hostel that was previously operating out of a rented house in Vallabh Vidyanagar and documented their efforts under the name of Kendriya Samaj. The Yuvaksangha team played a vital role in this initiative, paving the way for a brighter future in education. Prof. Bharatbhai’s team Chanakya’s view of“Shikshak kabi sadharan nahi hota… pralay aur nirman unki godmen palate hai” brought to life.

The “Amrit Manthan Karyashaala (Workshop)” was held in Tithal to provide training to workers for the first time. As part of the new constitution, the “Yuva Suraksha Kavach (YSK) Yojana” was launched with the aim of offering financial security to the families of youth members in case of any emergency.

Back in 2010, the team was working with great enthusiasm on the theme of development. This was all in preparation for the “Golden Jubilee Festival,” which celebrated 50 years of the constitutional formation of the Central Society, and for the fifth convention. During this time, the Sanatana Dharma awakening movement gained momentum, and the president of Kendriya Samaj, Shri Ramji Karamashi Nakarani, published a white paper stating that the society is made up of Sanatani. This declaration spread throughout India, and the Kendriya Yuva Sangh convened an executive meeting in Hosur to issue a “Keshario Patra.” This statement took into account the purpose of establishing the Yuva Sangh and proclaimed “Sanatan Paramo Dharma.” The meetings celebrated Kuladevi Ma Umiya, Ishtadev Lord Lakshminarayan and Sanatan Dharma. The Yuva Sangh organization played the role of Arjuna in the fight against Pirana Satpanth and justified the Sanat approach of Sri Samaj.

In October 2015, a business summit was held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar for the business team. The event was attended by around 6000 young business enthusiasts. Kendriya Samaj was the first society to organize such an event at this venue. As a result, a significant amount of money was saved and later utilized to provide a substantial fund to Shree Samaj for the purchase of a facility center in Ahmedabad.

The committee carried out various programs under the guidance of General Minister Dr. A. Vasant Dholo played a key role in reawakening the spirit of the youth in the Central and North Eastern regions through his “Mod Parishadrupi Sampark Yatra” and organizing “Narayan Katha” events to raise awareness about Sanat. In May, successful Megha Blood Donation Camps were held across India in memory of Keshara Parameshwara and P. Narayan Ramji Limbani.

Between 2016 and 2018, on the tenth anniversary of our Uma Education and Charitable Trust-managed Satarawala Uma Vidyapeeth (SUV) in Surat, Yuva Sangh achieved a world record in the Guiness Book. They inscribed the record for “Broom Dance” with the grand organization of “SUV Knowledge Carnival“.

The organization was strengthened by innovative programs like the “Vidya Lakshmi Amrit Kumbh“. Each zone-region also received grants for social work, and the Pancham Yuva Olympiad at Himatnagar was organized successfully and economically for only 72 lakhs, with the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. A significant amount of the savings was donated to Shree Samaj for the “Vidya Setu” scheme. During this sports festival, the “Atithi Devo Bhava” plan was executed, and all the players and guests were welcomed in Himatnagar city and surrounding areas with great hospitality. This festival brought Kutch and Kampa together forever and strengthened the Sanat approach and various schemes of the central society in the Sabarkantha-Aravalli area.

The Socio-Spiritual Committee initiated the Mission Abhimanyu Rupi Bal Sanskar Kendras, Mahila Sangh, and Sanskar Dham projects to involve children in spiritual activities. During the lockdown caused by the Corona epidemic, more than 156,000 people participated in the online “Ramayana-Mahabharat Quiz“. The Samaj-Yuvasangh organized the Panchamrut competition, which included oratory, song, essay, dance, and quiz activities, and helped to enhance the programs and keep everyone connected during these difficult times.

During this era, the Sama Yuva Sangh has served as a guiding light in propagating the Sanat approach of the central society to the masses and has strengthened the community organization through its social work teaching workshops, much like Hanumanji.
